There are numerous underprivileged children and adults who have become physically handicapped, either from birth due to genetic disorders or as a result of polio, or due to tragic accidents. These individuals often live below the poverty line and are the sole breadwinners for their families. As a result of these mishaps, their families have been pushed to the brink of homelessness. Despite their physical disabilities, these individuals exhibit remarkable mental strength.
Hope4Spandana identifies such individuals and provides them with opportunities under the Self-Employment Assistance Program. This initiative includes establishing grocery stores, mechanic shops, fancy stores, poultry farms, barber shops, and providing tailoring machines and small-scale industrial machinery such as spice grinders and wet grinders.
Through this project, Hope4Spandana has assisted approximately 70 physically disabled individuals, enabling them to earn sustainable monthly incomes ranging from Rs. 8,000 to Rs. 12,000.
